The Brass Buckle is awarded to members who pass the written and qualification tests and serve at least 50 hours of mounted duty

The Silver Buckle is awarded to members who accomplish the following:

• Pass the Qualification Test at the Silver Level with a score of 90 or better.
• Serve at least 100 hours of mounted duty.
• Attend at least 4 monthly training sessions during the previous 6 month period.

The Gold Buckle is awarded to members who accomplish the following:

• Pass the Qualification Test at the Gold Level with a score of 95 or better.
• Serve at least 200 hours of mounted duty.
• Attend at least 5 monthly training sessions during the previous 6 month period.
• Recruit at least one new member to the team OR work at least TWO recruitment details at community events.
