The Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff’s Stations
are offering
their 21st Community Academy beginning February 26, 2008 through May 13,
2008. Classes will be held
once a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. at the Chimbole
Cultural Center, 38300 N Sierra Hwy, in Palmdale.
The program is sponsored by the City of
Palmdale, City of Lancaster and the Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff Boosters. There is no
charge to the students. The purpose is to build a better understanding
between the people we serve and the Sheriff’s Department through education
and discussion. The class topics will include:

Ride-along with a
Deputy (1 shift)

To participate in the Community Academy, you
must reside or work in the Antelope Valley. You must be at least 18
years old, not currently the subject of a criminal process, and have no
outstanding wants, warrants, or felony convictions. All applications are
subject to Departmental approval.
Applications are available
ONLINE or at the Palmdale Station Lobby,
750 E. Ave Q. Please turn in your application as soon as
possible, there is a 45-person limit and past academies have filled
quickly.
